SOB Broth is recommended for use in cultivation of recombinant strains of E. Coli. It is a nutritionally rich growth medium for use in the preparation and transformation of competent cells.
Add 28 grams of Broth in 1 liter of distilled water. Heat gently to dissolve the medium completely. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

Magnesium Sulfate: 2.4 g/l
Yeast Extract: 5 g/l
Potassium Chloride: 0.186 g/l
Sodium Chloride: 0.5 g/l
Final pH(25°:C): 7.0+0.2
